About Sol Union
This site began as a small site to host my game engine, Blaze. At that time,
Blaze was my one and only project. After a while of learning the language and the
strategies through Blaze and Sol Gaming, I started to branch out. I experimented
with Artificial Intelligence, working on a capture the flag game, path finders,
neural networks, and web logic. Then I jumped into Operating Systems, starting ClusterOS.
I looked into java applets, with Code Clash.
At that point, the site was less of a gaming site and more of a union of
different areas. Then, I started experimenting with the website. I learned
both PHP and some javascript, and I started to work on making the site more
of a community site. I made a login that used OpenID to identify users,
and I made a way for people to upload their own projects and create their own tutorials.
However, only me and some of my friends were really working on it, I so gave that up
for a more elegant and to the point site. The current site, Sol Union remains as a space for me
to share my own projects and my own knowledge. Recently, I hit a brick wall: college.
I continue to work on Blaze Game Engine and ClusterOS when I can, but the other projects
have been put on hold in favor of school work.
About Me
I am currently an undergraduate at Cornell University, working diligently on a BS in
Engineering. I am extremely interested in anything computers, technology, and robotics.
In my spare time, I either program, play Viola, Violin, or Flute, or think up ideas
for microchips. I mostly have only had the resources to explore the programming side of
computers, but I would love to be able to explore the circuits side of computing.
